titleOfInvention | DERIVATIVE GLASS SUPPORTS FOR SEQUENCING PEPTIDES AND PROTEINS. |
abstract | Peptides or proteins are sequenced by step-by-step degradation while immobilizing them on a glass support derived with a silica binding substance carrying a free acid group, in particular a sulfonic acid group. The support is preferably derived with 2- (4-chlorosulfonyl phenyl) ethyl trimetoxysilane. The sequencing of the peptides is improved if the support is also derived with a bonding substance of silica monomer carrying a free quaternary ammonium group, such as N-trimethyoxysilyl propyl chloride -N, N, N-trimethyl ammonium. |
