abstract The invention relates to new N- (cyanomethyl) -benz-1,2,3-thiadiazole-7-carboxamides of the formula I. in which mean: X₁ and X₂ are independently hydrogen or 1 to 3 halogen; R is hydrogen, C₁-C₄ alkyl, C₃-C₅ alkenyl or SR₁; R₁ with 3 to 6 fluorine or chlorine substituted C₁-C₃-alkyl; R₂ C₁-C₄-alkyl, C₁-C₅-alkyl interrupted by oxygen, C₁-C₆-alkoxy, C₁-C₃-alkyl substituted with 1 to 3 halogen or substituted C₂-C₃-alkoxy, C₁-C₆-alkylthio, in 2- or 3-position bonded furyl or bonded thienyl, furyl or bonded thienyl substituted with 1 to 3 halogen and bonded in 2- or 3-position; and R₃ is hydrogen or C₁-C₄ alkyl.n n n Such compounds can be used alone or in the form of formulated agents for protecting plants against harmful microorganisms.
