Process for coating electrically conductive susbtrates, substrates so obtained, and aqueous electrophoretic enamelling baths |
abstract |
Using a cathodic electrophoretic quenching process electrophoretic quenching baths which contain an aminomodified cationic epoxy resin obtained by conversion: (A) of a diepoxide compound with an equivalent epoxide weight of less than 2000, (B) of a compound carrying an OH alcoholic group, an OH phenolic group or an SH group which reacts monofunctionally with epoxy groups, (C) of an amine. Components (A) and (B) have a mutual molar ratio of between 10: 1 and 1: 1, preferably between 4: 1 and 1.5: 1, and the positive charges are introduced by protonization and / or by l use as components (C) of amino salts. These electrophoretic soaking baths are characterized in that they contain at least 7.5% by weight of a polyoxyalkylene polyamine, relative to the total content of binders of the electrophoretic soaking bath. |
