titleOfInvention DEVICE FOR SEPARATING THE SERUM SEPARATED BY THE CENTRIFUGATION OF A SAMPLING TUBE.
abstract A device for extracting serum separated from the mass of blood by centrifugation of a test tube (10) closed at least on one side by a stopper (12) made of rubber or the like comprises a substantially rotationally symmetrical seal (14) with a collar (16) which surrounds the stopper (12), a cannula which passes through the stopper (12) and a serum container (20) which receives a part of the serum which precipitates in the test tube (10) during centrifugation . The packing is also provided with a second collar (22) which extends in the direction opposite to the stopper (12) and which movably receives the serum container (20), in the manner of a piston. The cannula (18) extends to the serum and the second collar (22), or the container, is provided with a passage (24) which leads from the cannula (18) to the serum container (20) and which is released only when the serum container (20) is not in the lowered position of contact with the stopper.
