titleOfInvention PROCESS FOR INHIBITING THE DEVELOPMENT OF SALMONELLA.
abstract The method and composition described serve to inhibit the development of salmonella. The effective composition of the present invention belongs to a class of fructo-oligosaccharides which inhibit the development of salmonella. The fructo-oligosaccharides are in particular made up of sucrose molecules containing from 1 to 8 fructose residues. An example of this class of sugar is constituted by "Neosugar" which contains 1-cestose, nystose and 1-fructofuranosyl-nystose. The method described consists in bringing salmonella into contact with the effective composition and may consist in feeding an edible domestic animal with this composition. Said composition contains the effective component and the nutritious food substance.
