Moisture activated transdermal delivery device |
abstract |
A therapeutic agent delivery device (10) has been developed which can provide stability of the components of the system over a long period of time, prevent excessive initial release of the agent and delay the onset of release. A metallic layer (20) and an activating agent (22) are inert when dry. Moisture activates the system (10) so that the activating means (22) erodes the metal layer allowing release of the therapeutic agent. |
