New tissue plasminogen activator which has a strong activity for converting plasminogen into plasmin and is useful as a thrombolytic agent comprising a nN-terminal peptide of plasminogen linked to t-PA having a special amino acid sequence; na DNA encoding amino acid sequence of the t-PA as mentioned; nan expression vector comprising the said DNA and a pharmaceutical composition comprising the said t-PA; nthe said t-PA is produced by culturing a host cell transformed with an expression vector comprising DNA encoding amino acid sequence of the said t-PA in a nutrient medium, and recovering the resultant t-PA from the cultured broth. |
