A treating agent of angiospasm is disclosed, which contains, as an active ingredient, a dihydropyridine derivative represented by formula (I):n wherein R₁, R₂ and R₃ which may be the same or different, each represents an alkyl group or an alkoxyalkyl group; R₄ and R₅, which may be the same or different, each represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a nitro group, a halogenated alkyl group, an alkyl-sulfonyl group, a halogenated alkoxyl group, an alkylsulfinyl group, an alkyl group, an alkoxyl group, a cyano group, an alkoxycarbonyl group or an alkylthio group, provided that R₄ and R₅ do not simultaneously represent a hydrogen atom; X represents a vinylene group or an azomethine group; A represents an alkylene group ; and B represents -N(R₆)₂ orn wherein R₆ and R₇ each represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an aralkyl group, an aryl group or a pyridyl group; Ar represents an aryl group or a pyridyl group; and n represents 0 or an integer of 1 or 2, or a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof. The agent exhibits high angiospasm inhibitory activity and extremely low toxicity. |
