According to the invention, a single jersey knitted fabric consists of rows of stitches (RI, RII), which alternately consist of a preferably twisted S-cotton and an excessively twisted Z-cotton thread (2, 3). Each S-thread preferably consists of excessively twisted Z-yarn and each Z-thread consists of excessively twisted S-yarn. The knitted fabric is leached or mercerized and fixed with synthetic resin. |
