titleOfInvention ULTRASONIC WELDING TOOLING ARRANGEMENT.
abstract Known tooling arrangements for ultrasonic welding have a sonotrode as the active tool and an anvil as the receiving tool for the parts. According to the present invention, the sonotrode (1, 21, 30, 40, 50) and/or the anvil (2, 22) are provided at their working surfaces (6, 9, 26, 36, 46), through which the ultrasound penetrates the parts (3, 4, 23, 24) to be welded, of a synthetic material with high mechanical resistance which defines a new working surface (6a, 9a, 26a, 36a, 46a , 56a). This synthetic material is polycrystalline diamond, polycrystalline boron nitride or cubic crystalline boron nitride.
