The ore described comprises a crumbled mica having undergone chemical cleavage and having a reflection in principal X-rays of approximately 10 Angstroems characteristic of the basal spacing of the mica. Said ore can be produced by washing a suspension of crumbled mica with a 10 X angstoems main x-ray reflection with a solution of interlayer ions, such as organoammonium ions, and with water, in order to swell the Crumbled mica, by mechanically shearing the crumbled mica thus inflated and separating the elements with a thickness greater than 500 Angstroems from the suspension thus formed. The dispersion thus formed can be used in the production of paints and coatings or in a process of deposition by electrophoresis on a metal surface, such as a conductive wire, so as to obtain insulation at high temperature. |
