abstract The invention relates to a method for desulphurising gas which contains sulphur compounds, dust and/or impurities absorbable in water, comprising steps for:n a) washing the gas with water at a temperature of 100-200°C and at a pressure of 15-85 bar; and b) guiding of the gas washed with water for the purpose of desulphurisation over an adsorption material at a tem­perature of 300-650°C and at a pressure of 15-85 bar, and to a device for desulphurising gas which contains sulphur compounds, dust and/or impurities absorbable in water, com­prising a washing unit for washing the gas with water; and an adsorption unit for desulphurising the water-washed gas with an adsorption material.
