titleOfInvention Modified polyarylate resin and composition comprising the same
abstract An improved polyarylate resin is provided, which resin ncomprises the following units (I) to (IV) n nthe units (I) being contained in an amount of from 3 to n30 mole %, the units (II) being contained in amount of not nless than 30 mole %, the units (III) being contained in an namount of not less than 30 mole %, and the units (IV) being ncontained in an amount of not larger than 25 mole %, each nbased on the total moles of the units (I) to (IV). The npolyarylate resin has good mechanical strength, heat nresistance, resistance to color change, transparency, nmoldability and flame retardancy. A resin composition ncomprising the polyarylate resin, a polyamide and an epoxy nresin is also provided.
