abstract | A radiation-polymerizable mixture is described which contains a free-radically polymerizable compound, a photoinitiator and an alkali-soluble binder which comprises a polymer having repeating units of the general formula I is what Is RH, halogen, cyanide or alkyl, R¹, R² and R³ are H, halogen, alkyl, alkoxy, alkoxycarbonyl, acyl, aryloxy, aroyl, hydroxy or aralkyl, R⁴ is H or a divalent organic group which is linked to a further unit of the formula I, where on average in at least 80 mol% of the units of the formula I R⁴ = H, X is a covalent bond, O, COO, CONR⁸, COOCH₂CHOHCH₂OCO, COOCH₂CH₂O or COOCH₂CH₂OCO, wherein R⁸ is H, alkyl or aryl, and A represents the atoms required to complete a mono- or dinuclear carbo- or heterocyclic aromatic ring system.n n n The mixtures result in photoresists or printing plates with higher resolution and better flexibility. |
