abstract |
The present invention relates to a method for preparing thin layers of ironIII oxide. This method consists in coating on a support a composition of iron oxide polymer prepared by controlled hydrolysis of a solution of iron alkoxide. The hydrolysis is controlled by using an amount of water such that water/alkoxide molar ratio, R, ranges from 3 to 15 or from 60 to 80. The invention applies to the preparation of thin layers for optical and/or magnetic recording. |
