The present invention relates to the use of a compound of formula (I) n nwherein R represents na hydrogen atom; a C₁₋₄ alkyl group; na group COR¹ wherein R¹ represents amino or C₁₋₄ alkoxy; or na group -CH₂R² wherein R² represents a halogen atom (e.g. nchlorine or bromine), C₁₋₄ alkylthio, or azido; nX and Y each independently represent -CH- or -N; and nZ represents -CR³- wherein R³ is hydrogen or C₁₋₄ alkyl, or Z nrepresents -N-; nor a physiologically acceptable salt, ester or other physiologically nfunctional derivative thereof, nfor the manufacture of a medicament for the treatment and/or nprophylaxis of a parasitic infection in a mammal, and to certain novel ncompounds of formula (I), pharmaceutical compositions containing them nand processes for their preparation. |
