abstract A coating composition based on a polyether resin and comprising a large amount of resin and a small amount of a properties improving additive, said resin being: (A) a fluorocarbon resin selected from the group consisting of (1) resin (PFA) tetrafluoroethylene copolymer of perfluoro-alkoxy, (2) resin (E-CTFE) ethylene-chlorotrifluoroethylene copolymer, (3) resin (E-TFE) ethylene tetrafluoroethylene copolymer, (4) resin (PVDF) of polyvinylidine fluoride, (5) of resin (FEP) copolymer of tetrafluoroethylene-hexafluoropropylene, (6) of resin (CTFE) of poly (chlorotrifluoroethylene), or of a mixture of two of said fluorocarbon resins or more; and / or (B) a polyether resin selected from the group consisting of (7) polyethersulfone resin (PES), (8) ketone polyether resin (PEK) and (9) ketone resin (PEEK) polyether ether or a mixture of two or more of said polyether resins; said additive being (c) a poly (phenylene sulfide) (PPS); or (D) an inorganic crystalline ceramic powder and / or a fluorocarbon resin when said resin is a polyether of (B) mentioned above; or (E) an inorganic material selected from the group consisting of an azide, an oxide, a diboride, and a carbide of silicon, zirconium, tungsten or boron, and / or a polyether when said resin is a fluorocarbon of (A) above; coatings and articles comprising a fused form of said composition, as well as a process for making said fused composition, are also described.
