titleOfInvention | A method for the preparation of a carrier for a zieglernatta polymerization catalyst, a carrier prepared using the method, and its use in a polymerization catalyst system |
abstract | The present invention relates to a method for the preparation of a reactive carrier for a Ziegler-Natta type polymerization catalyst. In the prior-art carrier preparation methods the focus has been mainly on improving the reactivity of the carrier by grinding or on preparing the carrier in specific reactivity-enhancing conditions, but the methods have been expensive and the results have not always been satisfactory. In the present invention, the reactive carrier is prepared by a) causing the untreated carrier and a substance complexable with it to react with each other in order to form a particulate, thermally decomposable complex compound or complex salt, and b) treating the thus formed complex compound or complex salt with heat in order to separate the complexable substance in part or completely from the carrier, which is thereby rendered reactive. f |
