There are disclosed a monoclonal antibody to morphine produced by the hybridoma strain obtained by cell fusion of mouse lymphocytes and mouse myeloma cells, characterized in that it does not substantially react with codeine but has a very high specific reactivity with morphine, a method for preparing a monoclonal antibody to morphine, which comprises culturing the hybridoma strain as mentioned above, an assaying kit of morphine which comprises essentially:n (a) a carrier having an antibody having a very high specific immunoreactivities with morphine and normorphine carried thereon; and (b) a carrier having normorphine carried thereon, and an assaying method of normorphine, which comprises reacting morphine in a sample to be assayed and normorphine carried on a carrier competitively with the antibody carried on the carrier by use of the assaying kit of morphine as mentioned above. |
