Process for preparing finely dispersed polymer mixtures |
abstract |
Highly disperse mixtures of at least two polymers which are not completely miscible under normal conditions in the melt are produced by melting the polymers used in the presence of supercritical gases or gas mixtures, and intimately mixing the melted polymers until the viscosity of the melt is at least 10% has decreased, then the polymer melt is cooled with further mixing until the viscosity of the melt has again reached at least the original value and then the polymer melt relaxes. The highly disperse mixtures prepared in this way can be processed into molded parts in the customary manner. |
