abstract |
A scintillator for the detection and measurement of radiation is provided which comprises an optically transparent polysiloxane matrix having incorporated therein at least one scintillating substance, e.g. an aromatic hydrocarbon (such as as an oligophenylene) or an oxadiazole. n The scintillator is less prone to radiation damage than known scintillators. |
