titleOfInvention | Conversion products of lactam-blocked diisocyanates and polylactam block copolymers derived therefrom |
abstract | The invention relates to conversion products of lactam-blocked diisocyanates characterized by the general formula: <CHEM> where A represents an oxygen atom or an -NH-group, R represents an alkyl, aralkyl, alkaryl or aryl group, where alkyl and alkyl bound in aralkyl or alkaryl may also be cycloalkyl, P represents a residue of a polymer P(AH)x with a number-average molecular weight of at least 5000 with one or more OH or NH2 groups, which polymer has been chosen from the group consisting of polyphenylene oxides, phenoxy resins, polyesters and polycarbonates with terminal OH groups and polymers containing one or more OH or NH2 groups exclusivly as a result of modification, (-L-) represents an opened lactam ring, (-L) represents an unopened lactam ring, x is an integer higher than or equal to 1, y is equal to 0 or 1. The invention further relates to conversion products of lactam-blocked diisocyanates, to polylactam block copolymers derived therefrom by lactam polymerization on a lactam group and to the use of such block copolymers as compatibilizers for polyamide mixtures. |
