titleOfInvention Hand-held medical syringe actuator device
abstract Removable syringe actuator (10) (12). The syringe actuator (10) comprises a fixed part (32) removably receiving the fin (19) of the cylinder (14) of the syringe and a mobile part (44), which is held with the fingers, removably receiving the fin (24) located at the end of the piston (20). The part (44) which is held with the fingers moves following the application of pressure by the fingers, but is urged by a spring to push the piston (20) into the cylinder (14) of the syringe . A valve actuating rod (28), mounted on the actuator (10), slides by sliding through the part (44) which is held with the fingers and through the piston (20), as far as in the cylinder (14) and ends with a valve element (54). The latter (54) is dimensioned so as to be housed in a housing (55) formed in the cylinder (14) at the closed end of the latter (14). A spring (64) urges the valve member (54) to remain in the housing (55). The device (10) is designed so that it can be held and manipulated with one hand.
