Vampire bat salivary plasminogen activators |
abstract |
Highly active glycoprotein plasminogen activators which exhibit a stringent requirement for the presence of a fibrin cofactor, and which readily catalyze the lysis of plasma clots. The plasminogen activator can be produced by host microorganisms or eukaryotic cells which have been transformed by expression vectors having an inserted DNA sequence encoding the glycoprotein. |
