abstract | Disclosed herein is a thermoplastic resin composition nwhich comprises: n (a) a polyphenylene ether resin or a polyphenylene ether-ncontaining resin composition, (b) a polypropylene grafted with a styrene-based monomer nand/or a propylene copolymer grafted with a styrene-nbased monomer, (c) an ethylene-α-olefin copolymer grafted with a nstyrene-based monomer, said ethylene-α-olefin coponlymer having a density of 0.85-0.91 g/cm³ and a nmaximum melting peak temperature of 100°C and above nmeasured with a differential scanning calorimeter n(DSC), and (d) an optional rubbery substance. n Also disclosed herein is a process a process for pronducing a thermoplastic resin composition which comprises nincorporating a preblend composed of: n (a′) a polyphenylene ether resin or a polyphenylene ether-ncontaining resin composition, (b′) a polypropylene and/or a propylene copolymer, (c′) an ethylene-α-olefin copolymer having a density of n0.85-0.91 g/cm³ and a maximum melting peak temperature nof 100°C and above measured with a differential scannning calorimeter (DSC), and n n (d′) an optional rubbery substance nwith a styrene-based monomer and an organic peroxide, nfollowed by kneading with heating. n The thermoplastic resin composition has good moldnability and yields molded articles having well-balanced nphysical properties. |
