A process for the recovery of silicone oil nand chlorobenzenes from a mixture containing nsilicone oil, chlorobenzenes, and polychlorinated nbiphenyls comprising: n (a) introducing the mixture into a ndistillation zone at a temperature and a pressure, nwhich will cause the chlorobenzenes to flash noverhead and the mixture of silicone oil and npolychlorinated biphenyls to pass to the bottom of nthe zone; and (b) removing the bottoms from step n(a), cooling same, and passing the bottoms through nat least one bed of activated carbon, which is an nadsorbent for polychlorinated biphenyls. |
