abstract | Epoxytriazine-capped polyphenylene ethers are nprepared by reaction of a polyphenylene ether with an nepoxychlorotriazine such as diglycidyl chlorocyanurate, nn-butyl glycidyl chlorocyanurate or mesityl glycidyl chloroncyanurate. The products undergo reaction with nucleophilic npolymers such as polyamides, polyesters and functionalized npolyolefins, to form copolymers which have excellent propernties and which find utility as molding compositions and as ncompatibilizers for blends of similar polymers. |
