Calcium phosphate minerals are formed by using nphosphoric acid substantially free of uncombined water nin conjunction with a calcium source, normally as any ncombination of carbonate, phosphate and hydroxide, and, nas required, any additional base to neutralize the nphosphoric acid. Protein may be optionally added. The nresulting product is readily formed and then sets to a nhard, stable, workable shaped object. |
