titleOfInvention | Method and apparatus for autotransfusion |
abstract | In order to collect blood or the like body fluids in a short way without damage or to transfuse or re-transfuse into the patient quickly and with reliable functionality and without the possibility of damage to the patient, a method for operating an autotransfusion device is specified which consists of an evacuable, vacuum-stable, has a base part (4) and a cover part (3) having container (5). The inlet opening (20) and the outlet opening (24) covered with a sieve (25) are arranged in the cover part (3). Between the base and the cover part, a membrane (6), which is impermeable to the body fluid, possibly bag-shaped or balloon-shaped, is fixed in a gas-tight manner on the edge; it divides the container (5) into a base space (13) which can be filled with a gas and one with the body fluid fillable lid frame (19). The gas or body fluid can be alternately displaced through the membrane. Due to the negative pressure applied to the outlet opening (24), body fluid is sucked in through the inlet opening (20) while the cover part is directed upwards. After applying the vacuum, the container (5) is turned upside down and the membrane is caused to displace the body fluid from the lid frame (19). |
