titleOfInvention | Eye dropper bottle attachment |
abstract | Eye dropper type dispensing bottle accessory to prevent contact between a dispenser and operated areas and to ensure safe and precise positioning of drops falling into the eye from an overturned bottle. The accessory includes a generally oval ring fitting around the eye, at least one post extending upward from the oval ring, and a second ring mounted on the post spaced from the oval ring . The second ring includes at least one arcuate ring portion defining an opening for receiving and clamping the neck of the dropper-type dispensing bottle, so as to hold an inverted bottle with its tip centered over the neck. eye and the predetermined appropriate distance from the eye of a recumbent patient. The post is offset from the axis of the second ring to provide maximum space and facilitate removal and replacement of a stopper or cap on the nozzle when the bottle is held in the second ring. The device allows vertical and lateral adjustment of the position of the second ring. |
