abstract The invention relates to a method of manufacturing shoes of the type consisting in fitting a rod, optionally provided with a lining, on a rigid form, optionally providing the rod with a hard toe or a metal shell, assembling a mounting sole with said rod during an assembly operation, and fixing a outsole on said mounting sole.n n n The method according to the invention is characterized in that, for the mounting operation, the cut rod (1) is placed without mounting return on a rigid form (2), the first mounting (4) is placed on the sole (3) of said rigid form (2), the front of the rod (1) is stamped on said ridige form (2) by means of a stamping matrix (5) and said matrix (5) is maintained ) clamped in the stamping position, the rear of the rod (1) is conformed by means of a socket form (7) kept tight, the rear part of the rod (1) is tightened by the form d 'casing (7), the sides of the rod (1) are pressed against the rigid form (2) by means of lateral plating blades (9,10) so that the rod (1) follows the contours of the form perfectly (2) and that the edges of the rod (1) are pressed against the edge of the first assembly (4), and the first assembly (4) is assembled to the adjacent edge of the rod (1).
