titleOfInvention Liquid pharmaceutical preparation based on theophylline with a retarding effect, and process for producing it
abstract This preparation comprises a hydrocolloid solution of theophylline in a phytocolloid obtained from marine algae, along with excipients and liquid vehicles pharmaceutically acceptable, where the active component remains linked to the colloid by the polar charges of the chains of this latter and at the same time is trapped and dissolved in the liquid phase of the gel, in colloid form. n The procedure for its obtention is initiated with the preparation of an aqueous solution of a phytocolloid. This solution is added to a syrup, based on sweetening, flavouring and colouring agents, dissolution of the active principle in another part of the phytocolloid solution and add slowly this latter solution to the first one with continuous shaking.
