titleOfInvention Apparatus, application and discontinuous process for carrying out an equilibrium reaction
abstract The invention relates to a batch process for carrying out an equilibrium reaction which takes place at elevated temperature of a reaction mixture which is at least liquid at the reaction temperature or in the form of a suspension, a reaction product having to be removed from the batch as a gaseous phase in order to achieve the final conversion during the reaction. In order to enable a greater space-time yield than in the known methods and devices without thermal damage to the products and without undesired secondary and subsequent reactions, it is proposed that the reaction mixture be removed during the reaction by means of a device (53) separate from the reactor to remove this reaction product. is promoted in which the reaction mixture has a larger liquid-gas phase interface than in the reactor and through which the reaction mixture is continuously conveyed. The invention further relates to a device for the discontinuous production of thermally sensitive products at elevated temperatures with a reactor (1) and a heating device (9). In order to achieve the stated object, it is proposed that the heating device be designed as at least one heat exchanger arranged outside the reactor and connected to it and that the reactor (1), a circulation pump (13) and the heat exchanger (9) in series in a circle are switched, and that the heat exchanger (9) is designed such that in it the reaction mixture has a larger liquid-gas phase interface than in the reactor.
