titleOfInvention Potentiometric sensor for determining oxygen activity at low temperatures
abstract In the case of a potentiometric sensor for determining the oxygen partial pressure in a liquid or gaseous sample, which comprises a reference half-cell and an oxygen-sensitive half-cell, both of which are preferably immersed in an internal electrolyte solution which is separated from the sample to be measured by an oxygen-permeable membrane, the oxygen-sensitive half-cell made of an electronically conductive oxide, which contains at least one transition metal of the IV., V., VI., VII. or VIII. subgroup of the periodic table and oxides of the elements from the II. main group and III. Subgroup of the periodic table can contain, produce or use an electrode material belonging to the structural family of the perovskites.
