titleOfInvention | Testing device for agglutination analyses, its manufacturing method and use |
abstract | Test element for agglutination tests, process for its production and its use. The test element (1) comprises a receiving and mixing area (7) for the sample and the reagents and a reaction capillary (4) with an upstream area (9), which has a capillary effect to create a flow rate for the sample-reagent mixture that is larger as along a downstream area (10) of the reaction capillary (4). An intermediate area (11) can be provided between the upstream and downstream capillary areas (9, 10). The reaction capillary (4) is connected at its outflow end (6) to a collecting area (8). The test element is characterized by a constant supply and movement of the sample-reagent mixture through the reaction capillary (4). In particular, the time it takes for a sample-reagent mixture to flow from the upstream end (5) to the downstream end (6) of the reaction capillary is subject to only slight fluctuations between different tests. The test element is particularly suitable for the detection of drug abuse, for example for the detection of cocaine metabolites in human body fluids. |
