titleOfInvention Process for granulating solid particles
abstract A process is described for producing polymer-bound solid agglomerates by shaping agglomeration of the moistened, finely divided solids using polymeric binders in the agglomeration process. According to the characteristic of the invention, polymers are used as binders which are swellable and / or soluble in the liquid phase used for moistening and contain suitable acid groups for the formation of insoluble salts, which can also be present as soluble salt groups, the polymeric binder being used before or during the shaping agglomeration combined with the finely divided solids and combined there with cations that are soluble in the liquid phase used for moistening and react with the acid groups of the polymeric binder to form the insoluble solid. Polyvalent metal cations, which are introduced into the process in particular in the form of soluble salts, are preferably used to solidify the polymeric binder.
