The invention relates to the use of physiological salts of thiocyanic acid in humans as a cosmetic agent for the care of the hair, for the maintenance and promotion of hair growth and for increasing the resistance of the hair to harmful influences.n n n The agent and the method can also be used in livestock to increase yield and improve quality (gloss, fur structure, hair thickness and elasticity, density and uniformity of the coat, softness and strength in the processing process) in wool, fur, leather or feather production.n n n Sodium thiocyanate or potassium thiocyanate or mixtures of these substances are preferably used. In humans, it is mainly used externally (as an additive to bathing water, hair lotions, shampoos or cosmetics), in the case of livestock, predominantly orally, by adding it to the feed or by administering feed enriched with thiocyanate. |
