An ingot (1) is prepared according to a T.H.M. ("Traveling Heater Method"), by moving, along a cylindrical enclosure (2), an annular oven (12) bringing to a temperature T a molten mixture (4) solvent, so as to gradually dissolve a source material ( 3) at the upper end of the molten mixture (4) and obtain, at its lower end, the crystallization of the ingot (1) to be prepared. During this movement, the enclosure (2) is rotated (6) about its axis, at variable speed and alternately reversedn n n The process of the invention makes it possible to prepare a monocrystalline ingot in which the variations in composition are significantly reduced. It thus allows the reduction of the manufacturing costs of infrared detectors, or of the other components produced in the ingot. |
