abstract The present invention relates to new aromatic polyamide-imides, the chains of which contain alkenyloxy end groups.n n n More precisely, these polymers correspond to the formula: in which: D represents a valential bond, an atom or a divalent group; B represents a trivalent aromatic radical having at least 6 carbon atoms; m is at least equal to 1; and X represents the radical of formula: in which R = H or CH₃, R ′ = CH₃ and n = 0,1, 2 or 3. These polymers are obtained by direct reaction of an aromatic diisocyanate, a monoanhydride of tricarboxylic acid and a mono carboxylic acid substituted with an alkenyloxy group.n n n These polyamide-imides can be used in particular for the production of coating films and molded parts and they can be crosslinked with heat.
