abstract Method for obtaining a polycrystalline organic material having in particular electro-optical properties, material obtained and electro-optical modulator comprising this material.n n n The process for obtaining comprises a step of preparation (1) of a powder, having a particle size of 500 to 800 nm, of an organic compound having a delocalized π electron system and having a non-centro-symmetrical crystal structure as well as intramolecular charge transfer groups, a step of vacuum drying the powder (2), a pre-pressing step (3) of the powder under vacuum, and a uniaxial compression step (5), hot and dried powder under vacuum.n n n This process makes it possible to obtain polycrystalline materials comprising elongated monocrystalline grains oriented in the same direction.
