abstract |
Low color fatty acid amides are prepared by reacting a fatty acid with an amine in the presence of hypophosphorous acid and a hindered phenol compound. The reaction should also take place in the substantial abĀsence of oxygen. The resulting fatty acid amides are relatively low in color and relatively color stable during storage. |
