abstract | The aim of the invention was to provide molding compositions based on aromatic polyamides which can be processed thermoplastically at temperatures below 350 ° C. without decomposition. It has been found that polyamides which are obtained by polycondensation of aromatic diamines of the formula H2N - Ar - X - Ar '- Y - Ar' - X - Ar - NH2 with X, Y = -SO2- or -CO- with isophthalic acid or an acid mixture containing isophthalic acid and phthalic anhydride are available, should be an essential part of such molding compositions.
