titleOfInvention Stimulating device to improve the sight of persons with a poor sight
abstract The invention relates to a stimulation device for improving the vision of the visually impaired by applying electrical alternating current or mixed current stimulation signals which are coupled directly to the eyelid (11) of a patient via electrodes (9, 19). The effect of the stimulation signals stimulates the tissue of the eyes (14) or the area of the eyes (retina, nerves, muscles, etc.) to heal and improves eyesight. The stimulation signals are delivered with a voltage between 1.3 and 2.3 volts, as well as with a current value between 350 and 450 mA at frequencies between 200 Hz and 2500 Hz. The duration of treatment is approximately one to two hours a day.
