abstract |
A direct reaction of polyisocyanates and polyamines is violent and cannot be controlled. It is therefore necessary to use the polyisocyanate in a blocked form. In previously known processes, it was not possible to obtain the desired semi-blocked adducts; larger portions of completely blocked product were obtained in addition to unreacted polyisocyanate. The further implementation with polyamines was unsuccessful.n n n The production of blocked, urea-containing polyisocyanates was made possible by the use of semi-blocked polyisocyanates, which are formed by adding blocking agents to multiply excess polyisocyanate, followed by thin-film distillation and subsequent conversion with polyamines in an NCO / amino group ratio of 1 to 1.3: 1 up to 1: 1.n n n The blocked, urea-containing polyisocyanates are used in particular for PUR coatings. |
