abstract This detection method consists in fixing to the bottom of the wells of the ELISA plates a monoclonal antibody directed against a single site (epitope) of major protein (p24) of BLV; to incubate the anti-p24 monoclonal antibody with the unpurified BLV proteins, thus leading to an elective fixation of p24; reacting the bovine serum to be tested and the numerous epitopes of p24 which are not linked to the monoclonal antibody; reacting marked bovine anti-gamma globulin then proceed to the colored reaction with an appropriate reagent.
