titleOfInvention | Silver halide photographic materials |
abstract | A silver halide photographic material, comprising: nat least one negative type silver halide emulsion layer coated onto a support; nat least one compound represented by general formula (I), said compound being included in at least said one emulsion layer; and nsensitivity specks present in at least one kind of silver halide grains which are included in the said emulsion layer whereby said sensitivity specks are present within the grains at a depth of at least 2 nm, but less than 50 nm, from the surface of the grains, with the number of said sensitivity speck on the surface of the grains being at least 1/10th, but not more than 5/10ths of the maximum value of sensitivity speck distribution in the depth direction,n wherein, Z₂ represents a heterocyclic ring having at least one substituent group selected from the group consisting of -SO₃M, -COOR₂, -OH and -NHR₃, M is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen atom, an alkali metal and an -NH₄ group, R₂ is selected from the group consisting of a hydrogen atom, an alkali metal and an alkyl group having from 1 to 6 carbon atoms, R₃ is selected from the group consisting of a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group having from 1 to 6 carbon atoms, -COR₄, -COOR₄ and -SO₂R₄, and R₄ is selected from the group consisting of a hydrogen atom, an aliphatic group which may be substituted and an arcmatic group which may be substituted. |
