titleOfInvention Colloidal dispersion of a cerium iv compound in an aqueous medium, and process for its preparation
abstract Novel colloidal dispersion of a cerium(IV) compound in an aqueous medium and process for obtaining it. The process of the invention is characterised in that it consists - in destabilising a colloidal aqueous dispersion of a cerium(IV) compound with the aid of a salt of a monovalent acid, soluble in water and exhibiting a pka of between 2.5 and 5.0, - in separating off the precipitate obtained, - in then redispersing it in an aqueous medium. The colloidal dispersion obtained according to the invention exhibits a low acidity.
