abstract | A new group of silane compounds, in which the silicon atoms are linked to each other by a hydrocarbon chain and which comprises phenyl groups substituted by an epoxy group or an ethenyl group, is represented by the formula (I) , in which R1 is chosen from the group consisting of: (a) an aliphatic hydrocarbon group containing 2 to 10 carbon atoms and (b) a group represented by formula (II) (where n is equal to a number between 1 and 3 and m is equal to a number between 0 and 5); R2 and R2 'are selected from the group consisting of an alkyl group containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms, an unsubstituted aryl group as well as a substituted aryl group; and R3 is selected from the group consisting of compounds represented by the formulas (III) and (IV), wherein R4, R5 and R6 are selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, an alkyl group containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms and an aryl group; and n is between 0 and 10. |
