titleOfInvention |
Use of site-specific modified lipolytic enzymes for the selective hydrolysis of organized lipid structures |
abstract |
The invention relates to a method of selectively hydrolysing organized phospholipids by means of lipolytic enzymes having regulated penetrating and hydrolising capacity due to site-specific modification with a hydrophobic group. n More particularly, useful site-specific acylated pancreatic phospholipases A₂ are capable of hydrolysing phospholipids of organized lipid-water interfaces, for example micelles, vesicles, liposomes and other bilayer structures, hexagonal H II -phases or biological membranes. n The invention also relates to a method for the preparation of these modified enzymes and to the enzymes in substantially pure form. |
