titleOfInvention Membrane-gel diffusion device
abstract Method for manufacturing an air cooling device of the continuous action tank type. This device is characterized by the use of a porous membrane (52) for regulating the rate of evaporation, which is in intimate contact and completely covers the exposed surface with a dry perfume composition of the erodible gel type. The perfumed gel is enclosed in a container (40) one end of which is open and on which the porous membrane is affixed. One side of the membrane (52) is exposed to the atmosphere; the other side is in intimate contact with the dry perfume reservoir consisting of the perfumed gel. Diffusion of the volatile scent and the carrier agents into the surrounding environment via the porous membrane matrix (52) occurs depending on the evaporation process. The membrane (52) allows only limited penetration, but is sufficiently permeable to the gel solution to establish a physical link between itself and the solidified gel.
